Visit to the MOHAI

Last Thursday my classmates and I went to the Museum of History & Industry (MOHAI), it is located on the South Lake Union Neighborhood; we went after classes so we took the bus 72 to get there.

It was such an amazing experience because there you can see many different galleries who show different periods of the history of Washington State. Also the building is really interesting, it seems a little bit old but the view of the lake is really awesome.

At the MOHAI in the main entrance, you can see a lot of technological things, almost each one of them works with energy produced by a wheel or a spinning, but I really liked the airplane ceiling by the roof, it was really cool.

Also, you can find one gallery about the history of Seattle, how the city was built and re-built after the Great Fire in 1889. In fact, that gallery was one of my favorites because is a Movie Theater that plays a musical while their counting the history.

But definitely my favorite one was the “Bezos Center for Innovation” because in there I explored how Seattle and his companies changed the world. There’s a lot of interactive exhibits, screens, quotes that are really awesome and inspires persons to be creative, to be innovator, inspires to change the world.

There you can find that companies as Starbucks, Boeing, Microsoft & Amazon were created in Seattle.

So, if you want to be an innovator you should follow these six steps:

  1.  Get an idea
  2. Fund it
  3. Start it
  4. Build it
  5. Expand it
  6. Go Big

Outside the museum I could see Ships, that were really old, I wish I could learn more about them the weather didn’t help me (it’s was raining, obviously I’m in Seattle lol).

I really enjoyed the visit to the museum so if you ever have the opportunity to visit it, just do it.

That’s all for today!
